POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a Quality Engineer III based in Indianapolis, IN. The Quality Engineer is responsible for improving Product and Process Quality while engaging Engineering, Suppliers, and Manufacturing to ensure various processes produce a high-quality outcome. This individual will lead product, process, and supplier quality improvement initiatives and corrective actions to ensure ISO / customer requirements are consistently met.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary Starting at $90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop and Implement Lean Quality Assurance Processes and Controls
- Implement Continuous Improvement/Corrective Action Processes and Controls
- Develop and Implement Supplier Quality Management Processes that drive suppliers towards on-time delivery with zero defects
- Serve as a technical resource to Product Development Engineers during the creation of design specifications, DFM’s, DFA’s, PFMEA’s, and Control Plans
- Support the transfer and launch of new products / product changes from design to production
- Provide support to Manufacturing and Assembly departments when product or process problems arise
- Perform root cause analysis to identify and document the causes and corrective actions for quality problems
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field of study
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or related roles within the manufacturing industry
WHAT WE PREFER
- Experience in Quality Engineering in a Manufacturing environment
- SAP experience
