POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor in its Indianapolis, IN manufacturing facility. The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for daily planning, guidance, organizing and controlling the shipping activities to maximize productivity on assigned shifts. This position is responsible for shipment operations and maintaining records of all pertinent documentation.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $85,000 to $110,000 / 1st Shift (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Ensure shipping functions are performed safely and in accordance with established EHS procedures.
- Responsible for all organized activities and assignment of jobs according to staffing requirements needed in staging, picking and shipping, and recommends improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department while achieving KPIs.
- Establishes and monitors employees work schedules to meet needs of business, along with ADP (payroll system) maintaining, and oversees and review the accuracy of shipping documentation in accordance with all trade compliance regulations.
- Trains and instructs employees regarding work performed in shipping. Oversees instruction, implementation, and enforcement of policies as they relate to employees.
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- Minimum of 3 years of direct leadership experience as a supervisor
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Business fluency in English
WHAT WE PREFER
- Experience leading dynamic teams in a make-to-order environment.
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Tools (Excel and Word)
- Experience with Advanced Manufacturing, and familiarity with Kata and Kaizen initiatives
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or American Sign language highly desired
