Regional Sales Representative - Midwest/Mountain (Remote)

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Regional Sales Representative to join our Sales team. This position is responsible for developing profitable sales growth for dormakaba in the assigned territory by closing sales of electronic access control, cloud operating systems and integrated solutions in the hospitality sector, from lead generation or qualification through to sales closing. This comes in the form of new sales generation while nurturing existing customer relationships

 

This position can be based in any of the additional locations:

Colorado Springs, CO; Kansas City, KS or MO; Des Moines, IA: Sioux Falls, SD; Lincoln, NE; or Cedar Rapids, IA  

 

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $80,000 to $95,000. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

 

In addition to base salary, the Regional Sales Representative is eligible for incentive compensation.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Develops pipeline, progress opportunities through the sales funnel while accurately forecasting revenue
  • Maintains good Salesforce CRM hygiene and associated systems, including contacts, accounts, opportunities, and relevant fields for forecasting product needs for manufacturing and sales leadership
  • Conducts product demonstrations for potential clients
  • Continues education with dormakaba new product introductions or industry technological standards developments
  • Develops suggestions for new product ideas of features based on customer feedback
  • Attends industry association meetings or trade shows, deliver presentations as the dormakaba Hospitality sales team representative
  • Participates in the development of sales and marketing strategies that further enhance the sales of dormakaba’s Hospitality solutions  
  • Meets or exceeds territory sales budget as established by Regional Sales Manager
  • Participates in leadership, strategic planning, and business development team meetings as necessary

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Approx. 50% travel
  • Must be willing and able to travel as required
  • Relevant Education or minimum of 5 years proven field sales experience or two years proven sales experience in the hospitality tech space.
  • Must be able to work long or irregular hours and under pressure conditions
  • Proven sales ability, interpersonal skills, technical selling competence with cloud and on-premises software solutions coupled with a hands-on mechanical touch.
  • A self-reliant individual who is a self-starter and highly motivated to provide the best customer experience in the industry that is a differentiator against the competitors.
  • A strategic individual who pays attention to market trends through research, and voice of the customer.
  • A passion for detail and accuracy
  • An ability to leverage technology to work smarter
  • An ability to articulate benefits and sell on value not just price
  • An ability to tailor the sales message and pitch depending on audience that can include IT Leader, Security Leader, Hotel General Manager, Purchasing Manager or locksmith
