Production Manager

We are currently looking for a Production Manager to join our team at our Sister company MGS based in Kingswindford, Dudley.

The Production Manager's role will be to meet Internal and External customer service levels through the effective and hands on supervision of all production of business wide fabrication This includes Aluminium builds and operator builds, as well as all administrative duties to ensure all production build instructions and components are ready for planned builds. This will include drawings and any associated cutting details. Yopu will also be responsible for the delivery of strategies and initiatives especially around LEAN to add value throughout the department. 

Essential to the role will be close liaison with Fabrication Supervisor, to check drawings, produce build sheets, liaise with Project Management department to ensure all jobs and produced on time, budget, and are quality checked prior to dispatch.  

A job that matters: Your Tasks

• Overseeing the safe and efficient production of Company wide aluminium systems 
• Control the production quality of aluminium Doors, windows, and curtain wall systems 
• Interpretation of production drawings
• Factory H&S and Cleanliness 
• Overseeing the delivery and collection of materials to/from site and/or suppliers
• Duties will involve overseeing the company aluminium fabrication, inclusive of Doors, Windows, Curtain Wall, Gasketing, Beading. Issuing works to the factory supervisor and reviewing work loads weekly. Reviewing drawings and setting out projects using "Logical". Progressing projects including ensuring fabricators have all materials to produce work. Complete monthly payroll reports for fabricators and agree overtime. Ordering of materials etc. and completing purchase orders for suppliers. Liaising with suppliers to ensure we have the best prices available. Be involved in the budget control of MGS.
• Control and Supervision of Factory production and workloads 
• Agreement of any Overtime, in liaison with Fabrication Supervisor

An experience that matters: Your Skills

• 3-5 years hands on experience in an aluminium fabrication environment 
• Experience of managing a close knit production team with an understanding of manufacturing and production scheduling,
