POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking an Advanced System Technician III to join our team! The Advanced System Technician III will work closely with the Product Management and Engineering teams and be responsible for supporting and handling customer service escalations (level 2). This role will provide support to the critical functional groups of dormakaba which are Engineering, Technical Support, Product Management, third-party integrations, and Sales. This position will also be involved in product & software testing, third-party integrations, training, documenting, and supporting dormakaba teams as needed.

 

**This is a remote position that must be based out of Las Vegas, NV, or surrounding area**

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $85,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide technical support of advanced complexity by performing software/network/hardware troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose problems including AWS cloud support
  • Provide technical support to our level 1 technicians and installers of advanced complexity providing coaching and support as needed
  • Interface between customer & third-party integrated product suppliers on hardware/software issues and coordinate all software upgrades with customer engineering & customer service functions
  • Ability to interface with the customer concerning product functions and requirements, data analysis, yields and defect reporting, etc.
  • Create and maintain related deployment procedure documentation

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • College Degree or equivalent industry experience in information technology, engineering, or another related field
  • 4 - 6 years technical network support/troubleshooting
  • Experience in Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, VPN, Visio, Windows networks using TCP/IP and experience in system level testing, servers, and software application testing
  • Experience with cloud services - e.g., AWS, Azure, and cloud deployments including understanding cloud-based service offerings such as SAAS
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

 

WHAT WE PREFER

  • Experience with Networking and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, OSI model, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN or related)
  • Experience with software and hardware integration platforms such as cloud support, solutions, AWS as well as other third-party integration platforms
  • Experience with Architectural system designs and concepts
  • Knowledge of software deployment
