The Software Solutions Technical Specialist is a dormakaba lodging product expert, that internal clients [Project Coordinators, Software Support and Field Technicians] can rely to provide prompt advice and or action to help resolve issues that are reported during project deployment quickly and help avoid impact on client experience, project revenue and deadlines.


HIRING SALARY RANGE: $55,000 - $60,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)   • Supports the “installer hotline “with questions that may come up during installations
  • Handles incoming calls from field technicians, certified installers / integrators
  • Supports the definition, development, installation, and testing of software systems /application
  • Conducts remote installation of software and end user training
  • Supports the Project Coordinator with technical escalations that may arise on projects
  • Issues RMAs to ship/replace defective product and document the reported issues and findings in the system according to process and work instructions
  • Documents all interaction with customers in Axapta
  • Follows up on cases that are assigned until they are closed and redirect them to the right group when required and according to established process [ENG, QC, L2/L3 TS]
  • Collaborates with ENG, QC, L2/L3 TS if required to test and reproduce reported issues
  • Contributes to accuracy of technical product training, training guides, and online material
  • Handles remote installation and or training of LGS software for clients




  • College diploma [or higher] from a technical program /Computer Science / Computer Engineering / IT System considered a strong asset.
  • Willingness to travel <10% of the year
  • Min 2 yrs. experience in a support role, either in a call center or field service
  • Microsoft Server /Client Operating Systems / SQL Server databases / Microsoft Networking Fundamentals
  • Practical knowledge of the Dev Ops tool chain on Android and iOS platform / frameworks 
  • Understand iCloud Service offering such as SAAS, Azure / AWS Certified Preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, other languages will be considered an asset, especially French and Spanish
  • Previous training / teaching experience will be considered as an asset
  • Experience with Access Control, Alarm Systems and related software is desirable
  • Good understanding of IT, networking, switch & router configuration
  • Must be able to provide the best experience to clients / internal clients on the phone and in person
  • Must be highly organized, able to track open tasks/cases for follow up until properly closed
  • Must have experience with handling call time, call control, active listening, and sound logic to make a determine quickly for best course of action to resolve technical issues reported
