We are currently seeking an engineer to become our Access Solutions Technical Specialist based in Ireland to look after the needs of a number of key customers who have major requirements in this sector including the airport network in Ireland
A job that matters: Your Tasks
Our ACS ESC engineering personnel are the ‘face’ of dormakaba, and the role is of vital importance in the ongoing relationship with our customers. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and service of various Access Control, Entrance and Lodging systems for client sites across Ireland. The role incorporates Planned Preventative Maintenance visits to our customers sites which generates revenue for the business and minimises the risk of faults developing.
In addition to this the role will encompass the Project Management and coordination of new installations and upgrades to ensure customer satisfaction, as well as supporting the rest of the team in survey support as required. Key to this is the ability to take on responsibility and ensure that we deliver on time and to customer expectation.
Therefore, we are looking for a technically adept person who is happy to have a dual role, with either experience in project management OR who would like to develop these skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who is looking to move into a more project orientated role where you will develop your skills and grow towards a project management role, while still retaining the hands on part of the job.
An experience that matters: Your Skills
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience to include Installation, Service and Commissioning skills in a relevant industry
- Knowledge of basic electronics, electrical theory, principles of microprocessor-controlled equipment and multi-meter instruments.
- Basic knowledge of internet protocol and configuration techniques as well as control systems, electrical wiring, and diagnostic capabilities
- Excellent Communication, verbal and written combined with demonstrable attention to detail.
- Must be IT literate, (Word, Excel, Outlook etc..)
- Must demonstrate the ability to build meaningful internal relationships and network.
- Project Management qualification is preferred
