A job that matters: Your Tasks 

 

 

The installation, commissioning and service of the hardware and systems are an essential part of ensuring that our systems function efficiently and fault free, giving customer confidence in the products and services provided by dormakaba.

 

Due to the safety aspects incorporated into all our systems, an emphasis on providing and meeting relevant safety standards when working on our equipment and systems is paramount, with an attention to detail essential.

 

The role incorporates Planned Preventative Maintenance visits to our customers sites which generates revenue for the business and minimises the risk of faults developing. 

 

The role will encompass the Project Management of new installations and upgrades to ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Reactive visits are scheduled to provide a timely and efficient response to a request for attendance from our customers and proficient knowledge and skills are essential in meeting Service Level Agreements and associated KPI’s

 

Our ACS ESC engineering personnel are the ‘face’ of dormakaba, and the role is of vital importance in the ongoing relationship with our customers.

 

  • Ensure that the highest standards of customer service are delivered whilst representing the Company. 
  • Servicing customer equipment, through preventative and reactive channels to the customers’ on-going satisfaction and meeting minimum performance standards 
  • Responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance for Dublin, Cork and Kerry airport projects.  
  • Coordinating of all project activities across Access Control, Entrance Systems and Lodging in Ireland.  
  • Survey support for sales in Ireland. 
  • Maintaining accurate service data through diligent and timely use of all service documentation and technical data. 
  • Commissioning of our equipment and systems to the manufacturers specified requirements and clearly documenting actions and parameters for future servicing visits. 
  • Work closely with the other members of the ACS ESC engineering and leadership team to ensure the seamless and sustained delivery and support of the hardware and systems solutions 
  • Other general & specified duties may be assigned 

 

 

An experience that matters: Your Skills 

 

 

  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience 
  • Installation, Service and Commissioning skills in a relevant industry 
  • Knowledge of basic electronics, electrical theory, principles of microprocessor-controlled equipment and multi-meter instruments.  
  • Electrical/Electronic and/or Mechanical qualification in Engineering desirable but not essential for the right candidate with relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of internet protocol and configuration techniques 
  • Basic knowledge of control systems, electrical wiring, and diagnostic capabilities 
  • It would be desirable, but not essential to have product knowledge. 
  • Excellent Communication, verbal and written combined with demonstrable attention to detail.  
  • Must be IT literate, (Word, Excel, Outlook etc..) 
  • Must demonstrate the ability to build meaningful internal relationships and network.  
  • Project Management qualification is preferred
