Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a temporary Assembler 2 based in Montreal. The Assembler 2 is responsible for the assembly, the visual inspection, the testing and the packing of the mechanical locks as per established instructions.
Hourly Rate: $17.67 - $18.70 /hour

What you will do
- Prepare the assembly station as indicated on the production order slip
- Assemble lock components by accurately positioning parts according to assembly instructions, using hand tools or manual/electric tools such as screwdrivers
- Perform functional testing of locks to verify correct operation according to specifications
- Perform repairs on defective locks by disassembling, reassembling, and replacing components as needed Identify defective components and complete Rejection Reports
What we require
- High school degree
- Proficient manual dexterity and visual acuity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of assembly procedures
- Experience in assembly of many complex and diverse products
- Able to use a pneumatic screwdriver
- Computer literacy (data entry)

- The incumbent must work with a global multidisciplinary team
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and Rejection Reports
- Ability to read and interpret technical assembly instructions or diagrams
