POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the authority of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and the Maintenance department lead hand,

The Mechanic will be primarily responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of machinery, equipment and tools for the production plant.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Diagnoses, corrects and repairs problems and mechanical breakdowns of plant devices and equipment;
  • Cleans, lubricates and adjusts machine parts;
  • Ensures installation or modifications of equipment as needed;
  • Performs basic plumbing work;
  • Responds to the production of emergency calls;
  • Performs general maintenance of the plant;
  • Executes preventive maintenance with the help of maintenance software (Interal);
  • Complies with the health & Safety standards in work.
  • Any other task related to this position required by the immediate supervisor

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • College degree in Industrial Mechanical or electromechanical (DEP or DEC)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in industrial mechanics
  • Experience with the maintenance of different SMT machines (Pick & Place Machines, Printer…) is a strong asset
  • Experience with the use of lathe and other machine tools is required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, sketches, diagrams, specifications and maintenance manuals
  • Must have a strong team spirit and effective communication skills
  • Autonomy, initiative, resourcefulness and flexibility
  • Possess a toolbox
  • Functional bilingualism (English and French)
  • Available to work overtime when needed

APERÇU DU POSTE

Sous l'autorité du directeur du Génie manufacturier ou du chef de groupe entretien, Le/la mécanicien(ne) sera principalement responsable de l’entretien, la réparation et l’installation des machineries, d’équipements et d’outils de l’usine de production.

 

FONCTIONS PRINCIPALES

  • Diagnostique, corrige et répare les ennuis et les bris mécaniques des appareils et l’équipement de l’usine;
  • Nettoie, lubrifie et ajuste les pièces de machinerie;
  • Assure l’installation ou les modifications des équipements selon les besoins;
  • Effectue des travaux de base en plomberie;
  • Répondre aux appels d’urgence de la production;
  • Effectue de la maintenance générale de l’usine;
  • Exécute la maintenance préventive avec l'aide du logiciel de maintenance (Interal);
  • Respecte les normes de sécurité durant son travail

 

EXIGENCES

  • Formation en mécanique industrielle ou électromécanique (DEP ou DEC)
  • Minimum 2 – 3 ans d’expérience en mécanique industrielle
  • Expérience dans l’entretien de machines SMT (imprimante, machines à placements automatiques…) est un atout certain
  • Expérience dans l’utilisation de tours et autres machines-outils obligatoire
  • Capacité de lire et interpréter des plans, bons de travail, croquis, diagrammes, spécifications et manuels d’entretien
  • Doit posséder un fort esprit d’équipe et de bonnes compétences de communication
  • Autonomie, initiative, débrouillardise et flexibilité
  • Possède son propre coffre à outils
  • Bilinguisme fonctionnel (anglais et français).
  • Disponible à faire du temps supplémentaire à l’occasion
