Job summary


Reporting to the Production Supervisor – Electronic Assembly, the incumbent will be responsible for the visual inspection of circuit boards to meet IPC standards as well as making minor repairs.



Main responsibilities


  • Visually inspect the circuit boards to meet IPC standards
  • Make board repairs as per IPC standards
  • Record on the network all defects detected on electronic assemblies
  • Provide feedback to the operators and/or the concerned technicians when repetitive problems occur. The inspector should take the decision on everything related to the quality assurance
  • Work with a variety of drawings and work instructions
  • Inspect and evaluate the first assembly on each new production lot (verify all components values, polarities, absence and presence, solder wetting…) then authorize the start the line
  • Validate electronic boards on the AOI machine to minimize the risks of having wrong components placed by SMT machines
  • All other task related to the position.





  • High school degree
  • Proficient manual dexterity and visual acuity
  • Proficient knowledge of IPC-A-610D norms
  • Experience in electronic, soldering and repair
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Team spirit
  • English or French.
