Position

 

Join our software team to build simpler, smarter and more secure solutions. As a member of the dormakaba Engineering Department, you will contribute to the creation of the next generation of access control systems.

 

You will collaborate with an agile team composed of developers, quality assurance specialists and DevOps representatives. You will help in the planning, development and delivery of new features.

 

As an Software 3rd level support Analyst, you will be responsible for system level analysis of the product in order to troubleshoot issues in a variety of configurations.  You need to understand system and architectural design in collaboration with internal and external users to determine content, processing, and capacity requirements. An understanding of system factors, including but not restricted to input/output requirements, information flow through hardware/software/firmware will be required to provide alternative methods of problem resolution.

Each team member must be solution-oriented and help build a performant, resilient and secure application. As a developer in our agile team, you should have the capacity and curiosity to clearly comprehend the overall architecture and appreciate the needs of the business domain.

Qualifications and requirements

 

  • University or College degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in third level support ideally in one or more of the following technologies, practices and environments:
    • Perform a variety of troubleshooting tasks using SQL, C#, and .NET
    • Knowledge of web-based applications and their deployments both on premise and in Cloud
    • Knowledge of network troubleshooting and WireShark
    • Knowledge of TFS, JIRA, Jenkins and automation tools is a plus
    • Familiar with Message bus and web API inter-process communication methods
    • Various communication protocols: USB devices, IP/UDP, socket layers, HTTP/S, and familiar with networking/routing environment
    • Familiar with systems level integration & hardware configuration using a variety of Microsoft operating systems
    • Experience with asynchronous processes, threads and back-end services
    • Practical knowledge of web services, APIs
    • Familiar with the concepts of source control
    • Ability to learn quickly and come up to speed on existing applications and their architecture
    • Experience with Agile/Scrum process and applied software development best practices.
       
  • Adherence to policies, procedures and documentation standards
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Manager(s).
