We are hiring for an entry-level position in automatic door installation and maintenance. Electrical and/or installation experience is beneficial, but not required. This position is a critical driver of our planned growth in the Portland area.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20.00 - $30.00 (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Position responsibilities include:

Carrying out corrective service and preventative maintenance on a range of equipment in a professional and customer-oriented manner
Installing dormakaba equipment in commercial buildings
Servicing customer equipment to the customers’ ongoing satisfaction and setting minimum performance standards
Projecting a Customer Service image through competent service procedures, professional personal presentation, and communication with all customers
Maintaining accurate service data through diligent and timely use of all service documentation and technical data
Managing assigned parts and consumable stocks effectively
Communicating with Sales and Service management about customer complaints and sales opportunities

Minimum requirements:

Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to meet an electrical apprenticeship requirements
- Two years of High School level algebra
- Ability to pass a general knowledge aptitude test
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, managers, and coworkers

A strong candidate would offer:

Experience working with or installing electrical and/or mechanical equipment
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
Electrical license or knowledge of basic electronics and electrical theory, principles of microprocessor-controlled equipment and multi-meter instruments, or AAADM certification
