POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a second shift (3:30 PM- 12:00 AM) Assembler for its Entrance Solutions department based in Reamstown, PA. The Assembler is responsible for performing assembly and packaging tasks required in the manufacturing process of automatic doors. The assembler will follow job specifications under the direction of the department group leader and/or supervisor, and execute scheduled and assigned activities, daily production requirements, and adhere to quality standards.  

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary 20-$25/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists and gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Assemble sub-assemblies and components for correct fit including headers, jambs, transoms, and door panels to established specifications.
  • Package product to established standards – headers, jambs transoms and door panels. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs, where necessary.
  • Use hand tools to assemble and measure required parts.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed component and reject if established quality standards are not met.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed

supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • High School Diploma and/or GED Certification.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • General assembly skills.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
