POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Fabricator for its second shift (3:30 PM- 12:00 AM) based in our Reamstown, PA manufacturing facility. The Fabricator is responsible for operating material handling equipment safely and performing machine preventive maintenance. The Fabricator will perform minor tool changes and minor machine set-ups. They will handle the fabrication and assembly of all rails, headers, sidelites, and accessories for the glass product line in accordance with the department’s housekeeping guidelines.   

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $20-25/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Operate drill presses, saws, milling machine, small presses, hand tools and packaging equipment, perform machining, assembly and packing operations.
  • Accurately locate materials, inspect and prepare prior to and after processing them.
  • Diligently follow shop drawings, written instructions, standard operating procedures, quality control guidelines during manufacturing operations, so that products meet quality requirements.
  • Smooth sharp edges and remove small quantities of metal with hand tools to produce a close fit between parts.
  • Use PC and thermo printer for relevant tasks, log daily reports.

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • High School Diploma and/or GED Certification
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Demonstrated mechanical abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read a tape measure within 1/32nd of an inch.
