Glazier

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Glazier to work first shift (6AM – 2:30PM) based in its Reamstown, PA facility. This role will report directly to the Production Manager and work closely with the production team. The Glazier is responsible for installation, inspections, remodels, and maintenance of commercial glazing construction.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $20-25/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Cut, assemble, fit, and attach metal-framed glass enclosures
• Interpret blueprints and instructions
• Follow guidelines and templates
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Regularly inspect assigned equipment and perform minor preventative maintenance as needed
• May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High School Diploma and/or GED Certification
• Experience with various hand tools (manual and powered)
• Knowledge and understanding of basic arithmetic
• Strong mechanical abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

WHAT WE PREFER

• One (1) year of manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Attention to detail; adherence to all standards of quality and safety
• Ability to read tape measure and use calipers
