Machine Operator II (2nd Shift)

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking Machine Operators based in Reamstown, PA. This role is responsible for various metal cutting saws and presses to assist in the production of operations, from staging or gathering materials through the cutting of the materials.

This is a second shift position, with working hours of 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM and a pay rate of $20-$25/hr., including a $1.00/hr. shift differential.

$2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Operate metal cutting saws, drill presses, and punching machines to assist in the material gathering through assembly operations.
• Accurately locate materials in the warehouse and cut them to required lengths as noted on blueprints or other technical drawings.
• Inspect and prepare material prior to and following the sawing of material for quality and accuracy.
• Remove small quantities of metal with hand tools to produce a close fit between parts.
• Perform minor tool changes and minor machine set ups.

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read a tape measure within 1/32nd of an inch.
• Demonstrated mechanical abilities.

WHAT WE PREFER

• High School diploma and/or GED Certification
• Previous experience in a production environment
• Experience with various metals
