Machinist III

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Tool Room Machinist III based in Reamstown, PA. The Tool Room Machinist III is responsible for all toolmaking, production and maintenance support activities as needed throughout the plant. They will be proficient with multiple machines and have above average knowledge with at least one of those machines. The Tool Room Machinist III will also build, rework, maintain, and repair all forms of tooling/equipment using available equipment and resources.

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $29 - $35 plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Maintain a high standard for safety, workmanship, product quality and productivity
• Work from design prints, sketches, sample parts and oral instructions
• Determine the best method to manage and complete a project by a designated due date
• Ensures operation of equipment by following preventative maintenance policies and procedures, and all tools are in good condition and in current calibration prior to use
• Performs work in compliance to all safety, quality, EHS and Production expectations
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school education or equivalent
• 10+ years’ experience in toolmaking or machining
• Proficiency in operating all common manual machining equipment, mills, lathes, grinders, etc. 
• Strong mechanical intuition and troubleshooting proficiency
