Quality Control Technician I

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a First shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Quality Control Technician I based in Reamstown, PA. The Quality Control Technician I is responsible for improving internal and external customer experience through supplier product monitoring, inspection process improvements, and recording / analyzing returned goods and internal/external scrap generation.

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: Base Salary $25/hr - $28/ plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Develop inspection plans / Control plans 
• Execute PPAPs (production Part Approval Process) for new parts
• Collect / Analyse data and populate weekly/monthly quality reports 
• Process RGAs (Returns Goods) and Reduce waste through RGA and scrap reduction programs 
• Improve cost of quality ratios through waste reduction initiatives
• Reduce non-conformance and provide regular reporting on rework and rejected material

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school education or equivalent 
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment 
• 1 year experience working in Quality Assurance  
• Experience with reading blueprint and GD&T  
• Experience in Microsoft Office 365
