Welder

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift ((6AM – 2:30PM) Welder based in Reamstown, PA. This role will report directly to the Production Manager and work closely with the welding team. The Welder is responsible for operating a milling machine, various small hand tools, metal cutting equipment, and small presses to assist in the production operation. They will assemble components from cut and prepared materials through the packaging of finished products.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $20-28/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Prepare materials for welding, cuts, grinds, and cleans metal
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to job specifications
• Accurately weld pieces of metal together based on blueprint/technical drawings
• Assess the quality of welds, identify flaws, and correct irregularities
• Maintain and repair welding equipment and machinery

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High School Diploma and/or GED Certification
• Previous welding experience
• Knowledge of various welding techniques including TIG, MIG, arc and oxy-fuel welding
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings.
• Demonstrated mechanical abilities.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read a tape measure within 1/32nd of an inch.
• Experience with various hand tools (manual and powered).
