Shipping and Receiving Clerk

POSITION OVERVIEW

Farpointe/dormakaba is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk based in San Jose, CA. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating and leading the shipping and receiving functions at sales facility.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $18/hr. - $20/hr. (Rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Compile and package orders appropriate for shipment to domestic and international customers
• Compile shipping reports
• Adhere to shipping Dangerous Good Regulations, DOT and IATA
• Work to improve on time shipments to customers
• Help maintain and update shipping procedures
• Verify quantity and quality of orders for shipping
• Communicate with other departments to assure orders ship correct
• Process order to ship by UPS, FedEx, DHL and other carriers as needed

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Data collection and reporting experience
• Skilled typist
• Proficiency with MS Office/Word
• Ability to trouble-shoot issues
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds
