Position Overview

The AI SEAL connects ERP, Salesforce, and knowledge sources into governed AI capabilities while owning critical data-quality and integration risks for AI-enabled business processes. 

The role builds production AI capabilities through the dormakaba AI Platform and ensures that data, integration, grounding, observability, and access-control requirements are met 

The AI SEAL works across Integration, Data & Analytics, agent orchestration, tool use, evaluation harnesses, observability, SAP Datasphere, Salesforce Data Cloud, BTP integration, event streaming, Azure AI Search, and modern data tooling. 

The function partners with the AI Champion, AI CoE, AI Platform, MDM, Data & Analytics, security, integration, SAP, Salesforce, and SI teams to deliver reliable cross-platform AI use cases and measurable business value. 

What you will do

• Cross-Platform Integration & AI Orchestration 
• Connect SAP, Salesforce, data, and knowledge islands through governed connectors and platform-mediated tools. 
• Build production LLM capabilities including RAG, agent orchestration, tool use, evaluation harnesses, and observability. 
• Design integrations through the AI platform / orchestration layer and tool gateway with clear contracts and validation. 
• Knowledge Indexing & Retrieval 
• Index approved knowledge sources into Azure AI Search or equivalent enterprise search services. 
• Expose richer typed tools such as full document, section reads, and filtered queries rather than unmanaged document search patterns. 
• Preserve source permissions, security trimming, citations, and audit evidence in retrieval and grounding flows. 
• Data Engineering & Master Data Quality 
• Scope and run data-quality remediation with MDM and Data & Analytics teams for AI-critical data domains. 
• Design and monitor data pipelines, semantic layers, and integration patterns needed for accurate AI outputs. 
• Translate data-quality risks into transparent remediation plans, owners, and measurable acceptance criteria. 
• Analytics & BI 
• Design and maintain semantic models, business KPIs, and analytical data products to support AI-enabled business processes and data-driven decision making. 
• Develop dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics solutions using SAP BI. 
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into scalable reporting and visualization solutions. 
• Ensure consistent KPI definitions, data lineage, and governance across AI, analytics, and operational reporting environments. 
• Leverage SAP BDC, Salesforce Data Cloud, and other enterprise data platforms to create trusted analytical datasets and business insights. 
• Apply advanced analytics techniques to identify trends, anomalies, process bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities. 
• Support AI use cases with feature engineering, analytical data preparation, and performance measurement frameworks. 
• Establish monitoring and reporting for data quality, business process effectiveness, AI adoption, and value realization metrics. 
• Drive data democratization by promoting self-service analytics, data literacy, and governed access to business intelligence assets. 
• Tooling, Actions & Security 
• Implement multi-system tools and actions with JSON-Schema validation, OAuth / enterprise authorization, ACL enforcement, and human-in-the-loop approval for sensitive writes. 
• Design action tiering for read-only, assisted write, approved write, and high-risk actions. 
• Test for prompt injection, data leakage, grounding failures, and regression issues before production release. 
• Analytics, Telemetry & Value Measurement 
• Instrument AI solutions with telemetry, accuracy monitoring, adoption measurement, and performance metrics. 
• Support value tracking through productivity, financial impact, time-to-value, data quality, and adoption KPIs. 
• Provide analytics and evidence to support business-case validation and continuous improvement. 
• Governance, Quality & Compliance 
• Ensure solutions pass design, security, operational-readiness, publish, and change-control gates. 
• Apply AI CoE standards, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements across data and integration layers. 
• Maintain evaluation suites, golden prompts, grounding evidence, and operational documentation. 

What we require

• Minimum 5 years working across integration architecture, analytics or data engineering, and applied AI 
• Production experience with RAG, agent orchestration, tool use, evaluation harnesses, telemetry, and observability 
• Experience with multi-system data integration such as SAP Datasphere, Salesforce Data Cloud, BTP integration, APIs, and event streaming 
• Strong practical experience in data, data quality, and data remediation in complex enterprise environments 
• Hands-on experience with modern data and AI tooling and evaluation frameworks is advantageous 
• Strong data engineering and integration skills across enterprise platforms 
• Ability to build governed AI tools, retrieval flows, and cross-system automation patterns 
• Experience with RAG, agent orchestration, evaluation, observability, and production AI quality controls 
• Ability to translate data-quality and integration risks into executable remediation plans 
• Ability to operate as senior technical contributor linking data, integration, analytics, and AI teams 
• Experience guiding cross-functional teams on data readiness, integration choices, and production-quality AI delivery 
• Ability to influence without authority and make risks transparent to product owners and programme leadership 
• Strong communication of complex technical dependencies in business-relevant language 
• Analytical, structured, hands-on, quality-oriented, security-conscious, pragmatic, collaborative, resilient under pressure, and motivated by measurable business outcomes and reliable production delivery.

What we prefer

• Understanding of identity, ACLs, source security trimming, OAuth, validation, and data privacy 
• Knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP Build, SAP AI Core, or AI-assisted SAP development patterns 
• Experience with Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, or comparable AI/platform services 
• Data quality, MDM, and process mining experience, e.g. Signavio, is advantageous 
• German - Colloquial knowledge (not mandatory)
