Assembly Manager (Shift Lead)

The Assembly Manager acts as the shift leader for production of specific items, ensuring compliance with technology, environmental, and safety standards. The role is responsible for managing the production process for efficiency and quality, aligning with organizational objectives.

  • Plan and manage resources efficiently, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands.
  • Oversee, control and coordinate all processes and activities during designated shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient production.
  • Ensure timely implementation of all tasks and measures resulting from the Compliance Management System.
  • Ensure adherence to technology, environmental, and occupational health and safety standards during the assembly process.
  • Provide supervision to the assembly team, including training and guidance to enhance overall team effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with target time frames and deadlines. 
  • Accountable for the quality of the work processes.  Maintain quality control measures to meet product quality standards and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with standards (5S, ISPRO, shift plan, tool cards,…)
  • Address and resolve production-related challenges, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures as needed.
  • Provide information to upper management on production performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Immediate reporting of all recognized hazards and potential risks relating to occupational safety and environmental protection to the SFK and superiors.
  • Provides active support of regular environmental protection and safety inspections as well as the timely implementation of defined measures.

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within assembly or production. 
  • Organizational Skills: Effective organizational and planning skills to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Licenses: Completed apprenticeship as a skilled metal worker. Forklift license is considered as an advantage. 
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in assembly processes, understanding of technology and production standards, and familiarity with environmental and occupational health and safety regulations.
