The Cloud Operations team of dormakaba is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineers to be an integral member of our team. Cloud Operations Engineers are responsible for keeping all cloud platform services and other cloud solutions running smoothly.
You will be a key contributor on a dynamic team, expand your skillset and become an expert in the most popular cloud software development strategies for dormakaba. We are looking for an independent, self-motivated, and innovative professional to implement industry best practices in a true cloud.
- Identify and resolve issues related to system performance, outages, or anomalies, ensuring quick recovery and root cause analysis.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks to increase efficiency and reduce human error
- Assist in documenting operational procedures, incident handling, and post-mortem analyses for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Be part of the Cloud Operation on an on-call rotation to respond to service impacting incidents
Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with development teams to implement DevOps and SRE principles and ensure alignment on software delivery practices
- Leading and contributing to designs for issues, epics, and Objectives & Key Results (OKR)
- Contributing to the Handbooks, create and update runbooks and general documentation, and write blog posts
- Completing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and lead post-mortem discussions
An experience that matters: Your Skills
- At least 2 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer or a related role
- At least 2 years of working experience of AWS serverless technologies, services, and infrastructure architecture
- At least 2 years of working experience with Terraform designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure
- Experience with monitoring and instrumentation: implement metrics using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana and related system
- Working experience with at least one of the languages: Shell, Python and others
- Good understanding of Linux systems, networking, and security practices
- Good experience of CI/CD release process using Jenkins
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering
- Very good oral and written communication skills in English
