The Credit Controller plays a crucial role in managing the credit control process and ensures timely payment from our clients. The Credit Controller is responsible for assessing credit risk, communicating with clients regarding outstanding payments, and implementing strategies to minimize bad debt and improve cash flow.

 

A job that matters: Your Tasks 

 

  • Evaluate credit risk for both new and existing clients, ensuring prudent decision-making.
  • Keep a close eye on credit limits and terms for clients, suggesting adjustments when necessary.
  • Reach out to clients in a friendly manner to ensure timely invoice payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Work with clients facing financial difficulties to create manageable payment plans through negotiation.
  • Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies or disputes with a positive attitude.
  • Maintain meticulous records of client accounts and payment statuses to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and share regular reports on accounts receivable aging and credit risk.
  • Collaborate closely with our sales and account management teams to address credit-related issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Foster strong relationships with our clients, making their payment processes as smooth as possible.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulations related to credit control and debt collection practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing credit control policies and procedures.
  • Play a key role in credit risk assessments for potential clients, providing valuable recommendations to management.

 

 

An experience that matters: Your Skills

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable management, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of credit control principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and assess credit risk effectively.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures related to debt collection is a plus.
  • Certification in credit management or related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience with SAP is an advantage
  • English language knowledge – B2 level.
