Data Cleansing & Migration Manager

dormakaba is undergoing a substantial company-wide transformation. As part of this multi-year effort, it will migrate to standardized processes supported by a new system architecture including ERP SAP S/4 Hana, SAP MDG, Sales Force, SAP Ariba, etc. The current landscape is heterogeneous and fragmented from both system and data perspective.
In this context we seek a global role to plan and orchestrate end-to-end master and transactional data cleansing & migration activities throughout the various phases of the transformation. The role will report into the Global Head of Master Data Management and is pivotal in ensuring seamless and high-quality data transitions.
A job that matters: your tasks
- Strategy development: Develop, establish, and maintain a comprehensive data cleansing and migration strategy for achieving desired data quality levels
- Project Leadership: Coordinate and orchestrate data cleansing and migration activities throughout the various stages of the transformation
- Data Analysis and Profiling:
- Conduct thorough analysis and profiling of existing master and transactional data to identify inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and redundancies
- Implement data quality checks and define standards for data cleansing
- Data Cleansing:
- Design and implement data cleansing processes and procedures to improve the quality and integrity of master and transactional data
- Lead and manage data cleansing activities, coordinating efforts across various teams and ensuring adherence to established standards
- Migration Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed migration plans, considering data dependencies and business continuity
- Oversee the execution of data migration activities, minimizing disruption to business operations
- IT System architecture: in collaboration with Global IT optimize the use of tooling that supports the cleansing and migration activities
- Organization: Define and implement a fit-for-purpose operating model for master and transactional data cleansing and migration activities that fosters collaboration and minimizes duplication among all stakeholders involved
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create comprehensive documentation for data cleansing and migration processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices
- Generate regular progress reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders
- Training and Support
- Develop training programs for end-users and data stewards to ensure proper understanding and adoption of master and transactional data cleansing and migration processes
- Provide guidance to solve data-related issues as related to cleansing and migration
An experience that matters: your skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in multinational corporations, dedicated to roles related to data cleansing and data migration projects as part of big ERP migration programs
- University degree in Computer Science/another related field or relevant work experience
- Hands-on experience with: SAP ERP ECC and S/4 Hana, SAP MDG and Syniti ADM, or other data quality tools
- Exposure to at least one of the following is highly desirable: SAP Ariba, Salesforce, or Service Max
- Proven track record in developing and successfully delivering realistic data cleansing & migration concepts and solutions as part of ERP migrations
- Strong communications capability to influence different audiences at all organizational levels without formal line authority
- Exposure to agile methodology
- Experience in understanding, developing, and enforcing data quality standards as part of the data cleansing journey
- Ability to effectively manage external vendors (System Integrator) and near- & offshoring environments
