Head of Smart Sourcing

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our global IT function as the Head of Smart Sourcing. This pivotal role is designed to drive strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives, optimize supplier and contract management, and enhance the quality and efficiency of our procurement processes.

As our organization increasingly relies on outsourcing for services and projects, we need a leader who can build on our existing capabilities and develop a world-class function based on a clear strategy, from strategy formulation to implementation, transition and transformation (T&T), as well as ongoing contract and vendor management.

This role is part of the "Operational Excellence" team, which represents the modern, extended model of the classic CIO Office function. You will be working within a forward-thinking team dedicated to driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the global IT function.

A job that matters: Your Tasks 

• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with our business goals. Manage large and specific outsourcing contracts, including financial terms, governance, resources, performance, quality, service integration, and KPIs. Ensure appropriate steering processes and resolve escalated issues in accordance with the Contract Steering.
• Vendor Management: Oversee all aspects of vendor management, from selection and negotiation to performance monitoring and relationship building. Ensure compliance with company governance standards.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance procurement processes, leveraging technology and best practices to achieve optimal results. Implement dashboards and reports to support decision-making.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of sourcing professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Promote sustainable procurement practices and support corporate initiatives.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for sourcing initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
• Sustainability and Compliance: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of sourcing strategies.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze data, supplier performance, and market trends. Conduct research to identify potential suppliers and sourcing opportunities. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.

An experience that matters: Your Skills

• Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology, business Administration or comparable experience.
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, in a global IT function.
• Strong background in vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Ability to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• International experience (Group/Regional function) and the ability to think strategically and tactically while being hands-on.
• Fluency in English and a strong understanding of IT or business background at the Master level or equivalent experience.
