Position Overview

Industrialization of Electronic Assemblies. Support the transition of new electronic products into series production. Assist in production release and validation activities. Act as technical interface between R&D, purchasing, quality and manufacturing. Ensures the quality, consistency and usability of material-relevant data (e.g. products, conditions, leads/opportunities) within the local market organization. Translates global data governance requirements into local processes, ensures clean master data and reliable reports for sales, marketing and finance. 

What you will do

• Review, analyse and document the E2E operational processes in scope together with the German and global process owners to create a structured data process knowledge base. 
• Define, document, implement and maintain data governance policies, standards and formats on the individual data objects together with DE and global process owners, in accordance with group and legal compliance requirements.
• Define, establish and where appropriate measure, local process-centric data quality criteria (completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness)
• Data Services & Analysis. Analyze production and quality data to identify root causes and improvement opportunities. Maintain product-relevant parameters in ERP and PLM systems. Provide technical support in response to production and field feedback.  
• Technical Classification, Export Control & Customs. Assist in classifying electronic assemblies under the EU Dual-Use Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2021/821). Assign and maintain customs tariff numbers (HS codes) for electronic components and products. Prepare and support Binding Tariff Information (BTI) / VZTA applications. Evaluate technical specifications for export control relevance. Support documentation for classification and communication with authorities.
• Product Support & Lifecycle Management (LCM). Maintain and manage technical documentation, BOMs, and configuration data in Windchill. Coordinate and track product changes (ECR/ECO processes). Support component lifecycle and obsolescence management.
• Cooperate with business, project and program managers, data analysts leads and owners to integrate learnings and actions from the daily business into the S4 Hana rollout and other critical priority projects
• Closely collaborate with and report progress and actionability to the DE Commercial teams, Global GPO and Data & Analytics teams and dbs towers to ensure sync of activities, priorities and results for the business.

What we require

• 3+ Data Experience, in an international GBS environment.
• Minimum BA, preferably in Engineering / Accounting / Finance / Economics / Business
• E2E process and technical knowledge behind at least one of the data objects in scope. Degree or technician training in electrical engineering, mechatronics or a related field 
• Experience in industrialization and series support of electronic products 
• Understanding of export control, ideally with reference to EU Dual-Use Regulation, including HS code classification and BTI (VZTA) processes 
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, change management and data maintenance 
• Experienced in prioritizing tasks within a Global Business Services organization. 
• High attention to detail and quality awareness. 
• Ability to systematically identify and own the resolution of data problems. 
• Ability to convey complex data topics in an understandable way. 
• Listening to and understanding the requirements of the business in workshops and meetings. 
• Structured work, setting priorities. 
• Project and stakeholder management. 
• Understanding of data protection laws and compliance requirements. 
• Experience in data management, in particular Data Quality, Data Governance or Master Data Management. 
• SAP ERP experience with core data display, query builder and core business transactions related to SD, MM or PP modules is a major advantage. Data modeling, Windchill (PLM) knowledge is a plus. 
• Fluency in English is a must, German language knoweldge will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to analyze large datasets, perform data profiling and perform or follow up on cleansing. 
• Ability to propose data contents for data objects based on system and process feedback.
