Main Purpose of the Role:
To establish and standardize processes for managing the dormakaba demand guarantee portfolio on a global scale. This role contributes to the overall financial health of the company by maintaining efficient guarantee processes, which support cash flow management and influence the company's Net Debt position.
A job that matters: Your Tasks
- Develop and implement digitized guarantee application processes across an international finance and sales organization, working closely with the dormakaba banking partners.
- Collaborate with Senior management to forecast guarantee requirements and develop strategies to optimize the company's financial and operational positions concerning guarantee exposures
- Become (or demonstrate existing expertise as) a proven/certified expert in demand guarantees and surety business (e.g., CSDG - Certified Specialist in Demand Guarantees)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal (sales, treasury, finance) and external (banks, clients) stakeholders.
- Oversee the global planning, application, and issuance of demand guarantees and sureties. Handle the issuance, negotiations and alignment of guarantees in the EMEA, primarily DACH region.
- Establish company-standard wording for guarantees and sureties, ensuring compliance with local laws (e.g., German Law BGB).
- Continuously improve guarantee-related processes to enhance efficiency and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Administer and maintain the guarantee application and database software
- Lead and support a team of experts trade finance
An experience that matters: Your Skills
- At least 3 years of Corporate Banking or Corporate Treasury experience or expertise in establishing and executing guarantee process within an international finance organization.
- Certification as a Specialist in Demand Guarantees (CSDG) or a proven track record in demand guarantee and surety business, particularly under German law (BGB).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with experience training internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
- Experience in process optimization and improving efficiency in guarantee management
- Fluency in German and English
