Join our international Technical Content Services team in Sofia as a Senior Technical Writer specializing in software and solutions documentation. In this role, you will create technical content for software, APIs, and product solutions that are consistent with established editorial and terminology standards.
A job that matters: Your Tasks
- Create and maintain technical content, including visuals, for complex software and product solutions, ensuring compliance with editorial, terminology, legal, and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with development teams and product management to gather essential information and coordinate expert reviews.
- Validate UI texts and manage translations for technical content and UI through collaboration with vendors and translation reviewers.
- Collaborate with the Lead Terminologist to develop and maintain terminology entries, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all technical content, including UI.
- Support departmental initiatives by actively engaging in team meetings and participating in working groups focused on developing guidelines, processes, and tools.
- Mentor and support novice team members, assist with onboarding, and contribute to training and development initiatives.
- Independently and proactively plan and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of technical content.
An experience that matters: Your Skills
- Degree, diploma, or certification in technical documentation, technical communication, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in documenting complex software.
- Experience with software documentation in an agile development environment.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 level or higher), with proven technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in German (B1 or higher).
- Experience with XML-based Component Content Management Systems (CCMS), preferably SCHEMA ST4.
- Knowledge of structuring and standardization methods (e.g., topic-based authoring, translation-friendly authoring, functional design).
- Familiarity with terminology management, UI validation and translation processes.
- Experience in creating screencasts is a plus.
- A collaborative and inquisitive individual with a structured, goal-oriented approach to work, and a willingness to ask questions when needed.
