Logistics Operative

We are currently looking for Logistics Operatives to join our existing team in the Tiverton Branch.

 

As a Logistics operative you will be responsible for meeting customer service levels through the effective completion of allocated warehouse functions including support of immediate and other warehouse team. Delivering of strategies and initiatives especially around LEAN to add value throughout the department. Ensuring accuracy of receipt, stock movement, picking packing and loading functions.

 

A job that matters: Your Tasks 

 

  • Support other teams and carry out duties across the department as directed by area supervisor or Manager
  • Carry out daily tasks in line with KPI’s and area specific demands as requested by area supervisor
  • Ensure deliveries or order queries are dealt with immediately and are fully investigated, resolved and communicated to appropriate parties
  • Ensure all stocks are correct and maintained to a high standard for both accuracy and movements are recorded accurately. Any stock inaccuracies to be reported immediately.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is correct and input correctly
  • Actively participate in functional training; highlight training needs and ensure training is understood to maintain operational efficiency
  • Active participation of LEAN initiatives
  • To ensure compliance with company Procedures and Legislation relating to Health and Safety

 

An experience that matters: Your Skills 

 

  • Direct warehouse team member with a minimum of 1-2 years experience or evidence of high self motivation in a similar field
  • Educated to GCSE level, Good written and verbal communication
