POSITION OVERVIEW

 

dormakaba is seeking a Software Solutions Technical Specialist based in Michigan. The Software Solutions Technical Specialist will serve as dormakaba’s product expert for our lodging products, providing advice and action to help resolve issues reported during project deployment. They will work closely with Project Coordinators, Software Support and Field Technicians to help avoid impact on client experience, project revenue and deadlines. This position will require travel to customer locations.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Define, develop, install, and test software systems and applications
  • Conduct remote installation of software and provide end user training
  • Support the Project Coordinator with technical escalations
  • Properly document all interactions with customers in Axapta
  • Follow up on assigned cases until resolved and redirecting them to the correct group in accordance with established processes
  • Confirm the accuracy of technical product training, training guides, and online material

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • College diploma [or higher] from a technical program /Computer Science / Computer Engineering / IT System considered a strong asset.
  • 2+ yrs. experience in a support role, either in a call center or field service.

         

WHAT WE PREFER

  • Microsoft Server /Client Operating Systems / SQL Server databases / Microsoft Networking Fundamentals
  • Practical knowledge of the Dev Ops tool chain on Android and iOS platform / frameworks
  • Understanding of iCloud Service offering such as SAAS, Azure / AWS Certified
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, other languages will be considered an asset, especially French and Spanish.
  • Experience with Access Control, Alarm Systems and related software is desirable.
  • Good understanding of IT, networking, switch & router configuration.
