Our engineers are the face of our business, and they are key to ensuring that our customers get a service which is second to none in the industry.  

As a dormakaba field service engineer you will visit clients across Greater Manchester and other parts of the North West, servicing and repairing automatic and manual doors, from our own, and sometimes other manufacturers’ ranges, for a wide range of customers. There will be opportunities to work on installations and to grow your knowledge and experience.

Our training program ensures that you have all the licences and accreditations you need to carry our effective and safe works; our network of engineers and field support specialists collaborate and help each other to overcome any issues you find in the field; lastly you have the opportunity to specialise or become a multi skilled door engineer, depending on what you are looking for. 

WE PUT TRUST IN YOU: YOUR SKILLS

To be considered as a field service engineer for dormakaba you will need to demonstrate:

• Previously worked as an auto or industrial door engineer with the ability to maintain and service either auto doors, sectional and roller doors or various other products within the sector.
• You are IT literate with the ability to use tablet, phone or app based reporting and customer portals.
• Have the flexibility to cover on call arrangements as required
• You have the relevant qualification for the work that you have carried out in the past (i.e. current EN16005 for auto doors, CSCS card, IPAF licence etc), but we can support experienced engineers to update their certifications
