Position Overview

 

dormakaba is seeking an Assembly Lead based in Indianapolis, IN. This position is available on First Shift (6AM – 2:30PM). The Assembly Lead will provide training to all levels of Assemblers.

 

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: base pay $23/hr. – $27/hr. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

 

What you will do

  • Cross-train, rotate and develop entry level assemblers
  • Manage assembly materials and inventory
  • Perform a variety of complex production and assembly processes 
  • Operate Powered Equipment Vehicles (PIV)
  • Operate various production assembly machines and hand tools, use basic test equipment for routine mechanical measurements and to replace faulty components as needed 

 

What we require

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Extensive SAP or similar ERP/MRP work experience

  • Remain active throughout shift by standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and lifting/moving items up to 40 pounds

  • Basic understanding of math
  • Lean skills & ability to identify process improvements
