Position Overview

The Team Lead – Record to Report (R2R) for the ANZ (Australia & New Zealand) market at dormakaba Business Services, Chennai, is responsible for leading end-to-end R2R operations and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This role manages a team delivering finance processes for the Asia Pacific region, collaborates closely with Tower Leads and stakeholders, and drives operational excellence, process improvements, and service quality within a shared services environment.

What you will do

  • Lead and manage end-to-end Record to Report processes including closing, consolidation, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting for ANZ entities
  • Oversee daily shared services operations, ensuring SLA/KPI adherence, high-quality deliverables, and timely issue resolution
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team; support hiring, performance reviews, and goal setting
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, automation, and process optimization initiatives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders; manage escalations and ensure effective communication
  • Perform hands-on activities for complex transactions, critical processes, and during peak periods
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial controls, and governance standards
  • Support transition activities and ramp-up of processes into the shared services center
  • Maintain and improve process documentation and knowledge management practices
  • Collaborate closely with Tower Leads and cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency

What we Require:

  • 5+ years of supervisory/team lead experience in Accounting, Finance, or Controlling roles - Professional qualification such as CA, CMA (CWA), CA (Inter), M.Com, or MBA (Finance)
  • Strong expertise in end-to-end R2R processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Extensive experience with SAP and strong proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Proven ability to manage teams, drive performance, and lead through change
  • Experience in shared services or global business services environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work in early shifts (starting 4 AM, later 6 AM)
