Position Overview

 

dormakaba is seeking a Material Handler I based in Chino, CA. The Material Handler I is responsible for gathering parts and preparing products for shipment to various outside vendors. Responsible for stacking products on pallets and strapping them down securely.  When returned, the product must be unstacked safely, sanded and deburred from excess galvanized material and inspected to meet quality specifications.

 

The base pay range for this position is $ 19/hr. – 21/hr.  with mandatory overtime, as needed.

 

What you will do

  • Operate material handling equipment to complete the requirements of the job responsibilities including, but not limited to: Lift Trucks (sit-down, stand up), pallet jacks, air hoist and fork extensions
  • Inspect material handling equipment by completing pre-use daily inspections and reporting repairs needed
  • Inspect and prepare galvanized product per schedule and by following established work orders
  • Count, package, and process outgoing products per outside processes, delivering to the proper outbound locations
  • Monitor production quality and report any problems or discrepancies

 

What we require

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience operating powered lift in a manufacturing environment
  • Become certified to operate powered lift trucks in accordance with OSHA and company policies
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly unassisted and over 50 lbs. with assistance
