Position overview
The Firmware Test & HIL Specialist ensures the quality and reliability of embedded firmware across the full validation lifecycle. The role focuses on developing and operating HIL systems and dedicated test environments. It supports early defect detection through structured unit and system-level testing. Additionally, it enables robust validation processes in close collaboration with development, production, and quality teams.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain HIL systems (e.g., Prothos miniHIL, LabVIEW)
- Design and operate mechatronic test benches
- Develop test cases and validation procedures
- Perform component, system, and endurance testing
- Execute unit tests for embedded C firmware
- Implement and use test frameworks (CMake, C-Test, GTest, Ceedling)
- Analyze test results and document findings
- Support integration and validation across product lines
What we require
- 3 – 5 Years of relevant working experience
- Typical education level Bachelor plus 3-5 years of relevant working experience OR Master degree with 2-3 of working experience
