Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking an Engineering Manager based in Chino, CA The Engineering Manager will achieve project goals by providing leadership and coordination across mechanical, electrical, embedded firmware, software, cloud, product test, and prototyping engineering disciplines. They will serve as a strategic member of the management team, helping drive the execution of the company’s organizational strategy and business plan.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $140,000 - $160,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Plus an annual bonus. Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.
What you will do
- Identify and lead product enhancement opportunities that support business and market objectives
- Leverage the company’s core competencies to identify and develop strategic partnership opportunities
- Identify co-development opportunities for new products, including potential licensing agreements such as SDKs, while driving internal product development initiatives
- Participate in the evaluation of new markets and business opportunities, applying product marketing and product management expertise to support strategic growth
- Partner closely with the Product Development and Project Management teams to handle new product introductions (NPI) and product termination
What we require
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering
- 10+ years of experience in Engineering and Project Management
- 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role
- Knowledge of Engineering Management tools like FMEA, Risk Analysis, problem solving tools
What we prefer
- Knowledge of electromechanical cabinets, software, and cabling
- Familiarity with software development and associated toolchains
- Understanding of business economics and cost-saving optimization
- Involvement in new product introduction (NPI) launches
