Position Overview
Currently, we are seeking a committed and skilled individual for the position of an IT Release Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, governing, and executing synchronized releases across multiple business applications and platforms. You will play a key role in ensuring that changes are delivered safely, predictably, and with minimal disruption to business operations.
Working in a global and highly collaborative environment, you will partner with application owners, development teams, infrastructure specialists, business stakeholders, and external partners to manage the full release lifecycle. You will contribute to strengthening release governance, improving delivery quality, and driving continuous improvement across the enterprise landscape.
What you will do
- Manage and maintain the enterprise-wide release calendar across all relevant applications, coordinating cross-application and cross-team dependencies for major, minor, and emergency releases.
- Facilitate release planning meetings, ensuring clarity of scope, timelines, and resource requirements, and align release schedules with Change Management, project teams, and operational constraints.
- Ensure all releases follow internal governance, quality, and compliance standards, and monitoring adherence to ITIL / Change Management processes.
- Verify that required documentation (release notes, test evidence, approvals) is complete.
- Conduct go/no-go reviews, and ensure readiness criteria are met.
- Coordinate deployment activities across development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
- Oversee release execution and synchronized deployment across multiple systems.
- Support fallback and rollback planning, including risk and impact assessments, and track deployment progress, escalating issues to stakeholders when needed.
- Communicate release status, content, impacts, and timelines to IT and business stakeholders.
- Analyze release performance metrics (quality, incidents, delays) to drive improvements and identify bottlenecks in the release process.
- Contribute to automation and optimization initiatives (CI/CD, automated testing, deployment pipelines), and strengthen the maturity of release management within the organization.
What we require
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Release Management, Change Management, DevOps Coordination, IT Operations, or a related field.
- Proven track record in multi-application or enterprise-scale release environments.
- Practical knowledge of ITIL-based Change and Release Management processes.
- Experience coordinating releases across complex technology landscapes, including ERP, CRM, cloud platforms, or enterprise integration environments.
- Strong expertise in release and change management practices.
- Ability to manage cross-team and cross-application dependencies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in international and distributed teams.
- Business fluency in English.
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
