Position Overview
The IT Sourcing and Provider Expert serves as the operational backbone and strategic catalyst of dormakaba's Global IT sourcing and provider management activities. The role brings together end-to-end accountability across IT contract administration, sourcing governance, vendor relationship management and provider performance – delivering the full breadth of an Operations Expert.
What you will do
- IT Contract Creation, Coordination & Cross-Functional Alignment, Management:
- Act as contract coordination and creation interface towards internal and external stakeholders (e.g. IT, Legal, Procurement, Security).
- Manage (cross-functional) contracts for selected major Providers, ensuring seamless interaction with the GIT contract admin function.
- Manage contract obligations, deliverables, change requests, issues and dispute resolution for selected (major) contracts.
- Maintain end-to-end contract lifecycle for all IT contracts and develop and implement proactive contract controlling, including alerting on expiring and renewable contracts.
- Sourcing & Tender Management
- Coordinate sourcing options with GIT domains within the boundaries of the GIT Sourcing Strategy.
- Implement GIT's overall Sourcing Strategy; develop and lead the global supplier governance model.
- Monitor sourced activities and escalate challenges in a timely manner
- Sourcing Governance & Relationship Management
- Implement effective contractual governance structure for strategic and important IT sourcing relationships.
- Oversee the GIT provider portfolio; facilitate strategic and tactical relationships with selected Service Partners across all contracted services.
- Establish and maintain provider boards and governance meetings; enable internal stakeholders to conduct outcome-oriented steering at all levels.
- Monitor, report and continuously improve the quality of the relationship between GIT and its Service Partners.
- Act as the primary interface between GIT and (major) providers on contractual, strategic-tactical, performance, risk and customer satisfaction topics.
What we require
- At least 5 years’ strong experience in 2 of the 3 disciplines: IT Sourcing, IT Contract or IT Provider Management
- Solid knowledge of Service Management (IT Service Management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, Cobit) - ideally ITIL® or SIAM certification)
- Good knowledge of external provider types (incl. near-/offshore), delivery and commercial models; practical knowledge of contract architecture and legal implications on contracts
- Advanced practical knowledge of contract architecture and general legal implications on contracts
- Broad understanding of IT Technologies (e.g., application development and maintenance, cloud sourcing, infrastructure services, network, workplace)
- Experience with IT management and contract tools
- Comfortably using AI tools for personal productivity, such as drafting, summarization, analysis, and reporting
- Experience in automation of contract management processes
- Ability to identify and support automation and efficiency improvements across sourcing, provider, and contract management activities
- Business-fluent English (required); business-fluent German is a strong advantage
- Successfully completed university degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or other equivalent disciplines
