In Bulgaria, dormakaba has been building its presence for more than 30 years through manufacturing, sales, and service operations. Our production facility manufactures doors and components that are used in buildings around the world.
Through dormakaba business services (dbs), the company has further expanded its presence in Bulgaria. The organization supports a broad range of functions, including Finance, Commercial backoffice, HR, Product Development, IT. Through dbs, dormakaba delivers key internal business services that enhance operational efficiency and contribute to a superior customer experience on a global scale.
To further support the stable performance on the market, we are currently looking for a trustworthy, result-oriented, and experienced professional to take over the new role of HR Lead Bulgaria.
Position Overview
The HR Lead Bulgaria works at the intersection of business and human resources, as a strategic HR Business Partner for leaders in Bulgaria, both in the Market (Sales) & Plant organization as well as in the Multifunctional Shared Service Center to drive the people initiatives that support business strategy and growth and a positive employee experience, particularly in the strategic areas of business transformation, talent management, L&D, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, change management, performance management and labor relations.
The HR Lead Bulgaria actively shapes the organizational culture and collaboration between different functions, ensures a positive employee experience across all parts of the company, and establishes a coherent remuneration and benefits policy, as well as equitable working environments and opportunities for employee development.
What you will do
- Translate global HR strategy into effective local people initiatives and processes
- Partner with business leaders to drive people strategies that support business growth and transformation
- Advise managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle, including talent management, performance, and engagement
- Ensure compliance with local labor legislation, HR policies, and ethical standards
- Strengthen employer branding, employee engagement, and diversity & inclusion
- Lead and develop the local HR team, ensuring operational excellence and collaboration across HR functions
- Identify, develop, and retain top talent through succession planning and strategic hiring
- Partner with global HR teams (Global Strategic People Partners, Global Domain Hubs, People Experience Hub) to deliver consistent people practices while addressing local business needs
What we require
- Relevant University Degree, preferably in Human Resource Management, Economics, or related
- 10+ years’ experience in an HR management position, working in an international environment
- Should have wide and deep operational HR knowledge as well as business acumen
- Experience in a multicultural environment, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions, is key
- Fluent in English
- Strong communication skills and active engagement with employees
- Positive, approachable, and energetic personality
