Position Overview
Supports the Global Master Data Cleansing & Migration team in operational execution, stakeholder reporting, and SAP-based data analysis across Material, Operations, and Business Partner domains. This role is the operational backbone of the team: ensuring meetings and actions are tracked, data extracts are run, status reports are prepared, and leadership has clear visibility into progress. Ideal for a task-oriented, disciplined, and communicative individual who wants to develop toward project and program management in a global transformation environment.
What you will do
Operational Support & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain meeting minutes, action trackers, executive summaries, and PowerPoint presentations for the Cleansing & Migration oversight forum and project leadership.
- Build and distribute weekly / monthly status reports covering data quality scoring, sprint progress, open risks, and escalation topics.
SAP Data Extraction & Validation
- Perform ad-hoc and recurring SAP extracts using SE16N, SQVI, SAP Query, and similar tools to support profiling, validation, and cleansing activities.
- Navigate SAP data models with confidence: know which tables contain which fields (e.g. MARA, MARC, LFA1, KNA1, EKKO/EKPO) and how to locate data for operational reporting.
- Support the comparison of as-is vs. to-be data states and help identify gaps.
Cleansing Sprint Execution
- Execute weekly sprints of cleansing actions directly in SAP or in collaboration with IT / SI partners.
- Extract, profile, and analyze datasets based on priority criteria and business requirements.
Process & Documentation
- Maintain operational and process documentation for all team activities.
- Ensure service delivery remains within agreed SLAs and KPIs.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the operational liaison to the Global Data Team, GPE, GPO, SI & IT communities, and broader dBS organization.
- Support the rollout of cleansing actions in waves; help drive harmonization of data flows where appropriate.
What we require
- 1–3 years of experience in master data, SAP operations, business analysis, or a similar operational support role — preferably in an international or shared-service environment.
- Strong practical SAP knowledge:
- Comfortable navigating core modules (SD, MM, PP) at table level.
- Confident using SE16, SE16N, SQVI, SAP Query, and core business transactions.
- Ability to independently locate data (which table, which field, which relationship) for reporting and validation.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation) and PowerPoint (structuring status decks and presentations).
- Structured and task-oriented: able to capture accurate minutes, track actions across multiple stakeholders, and follow up on deadlines in a disciplined way.
- Positive, outgoing, and communicative: comfortable interacting with a diverse range of technical and business stakeholders, driving actionability and alignment.
- Experience in task prioritization and operational coordination within a program or matrixed environment.
- Genuine interest in learning project / program management in a large-scale data transformation context.
- English sufficient for written and verbal business communication (intermediate+).
- Plus: Salesforce or Ariba exposure; experience with data profiling and quality concepts
