Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a Regional Category Manager based in Nogales, MX. The Regional Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing regional procurement and supplier strategies for specific spend categories in alignment with the business partners. They will deliver procurement, financial and value driven KPIs to contribute to the companies bottom-line and strategic goals.
What you will do
- Lead and deliver high quality, innovative and market intelligence led category management across spend area securing availability of goods and services
- Drive regional category performance by translating global and regional category objectives into actionable targets, communicating KPIs across the regional organization, and partnering with Global and Local Category Managers to execute strategies that enable plants, local teams, and markets to achieve business and savings goals
- Develop and execute regional sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories across the Americas, leveraging market intelligence and supplier insights to optimize cost, value, innovation, and supply continuity
- Monitor pricing trends, supplier performance, market dynamics, and product developments, while partnering with Global Category Managers to ensure alignment with global category strategies and objectives.
What we require
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar position and industry
- College Degree (commercial or engineering / mechanical) or significant equivalent education and professional experience
- Experience in strategic sourcing and execution of professional tenders
- Knowledge of contract and supplier relationship management
- Project management experience
What we prefer
- “Purchasing Manager, Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education” or comparable advanced qualification
- Experience managing or mentoring team members including the ability to lead cross-functional stakeholders, provide coaching, and effectively manage challenging business situations
