Position Overview

 

dormakaba is seeking a Product Manager based in Indianapolis, IN, in a hybrid capacity, to lead the strategic direction and portfolio management of our physical access control systems (PACS) readers and credentials product line. This role is responsible for developing and executing product strategies, managing roadmaps, and optimizing portfolio performance in alignment with organizational objectives and market requirements. This position will play a critical role in identifying market opportunities, prioritizing product investments, and supporting the continued growth, competitiveness, and performance of the product portfolio.

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $110,000 - $130,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) What you will do

  • Own the global PACS reader and credential portfolio across Farpointe, dormakaba, and OEM/private-label brands, including RFID, smart card, multi-technology, migration, mobile-enabled readers, physical credentials, mobile credentials, digital wallets, and emerging identity technologies
  • Develop and execute long-term product and portfolio strategies by identifying market opportunities, industry trends, customer needs, competitive intelligence, and target segments across North America, Europe, and international markets
  • Define and prioritize product requirements, features, investments, timelines, and dependencies, translating customer and market insights into differentiated solutions that maximize business value and support regional requirements
  • Own the configuration App for dormakaba readers and locks, driving product strategy, requirements, and lifecycle management to enable seamless deployment, configuration, security management and maintenance
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to drive product launches, go-to-market readiness, portfolio optimization, and lifecycle management while achieving growth, revenue, profitability, and customer objectives

 

What we require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with experience in product strategy, roadmap development, or portfolio management. Experience in access control, physical security, identity, IoT, or a related technology-driven industry preferred
  • Demonstrated experience developing product strategies, managing roadmaps, prioritizing investments, and optimizing portfolios across multiple products, technologies, and customer segments
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders, to align resources and execute product strategies
  • Experience managing products across multiple geographic markets and understanding regional customer requirements, competitive dynamics, commercialization, and go-to-market strategies
  • Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally with team members and customers

  • Strong understanding of access control technologies, including PACS readers, RFID/smart cards, mobile credentials, digital wallets, and credential management solutions, with the ability to translate market and customer needs into product requirements
