Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor II, III based in Indianapolis, IN. The Production Supervisor II, III is responsible for leading and managing 2nd Shift operations for manufacturing, fabrication, and cross-functional support areas at the dormakaba Indianapolis plant, ensuring the safety, productivity, and development of the team while driving performance across all key metrics to support the plant’s operational goals and business objectives. This role acts as the primary point of contact and decision-maker for 2nd Shift, providing critical leadership, fostering collaboration across functions, and ensuring smooth handoffs between shifts. The Production Supervisor III plays a pivotal role in creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement across the 2nd shift team.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $90,000 - $120,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.
What you will do
- Provide hands-on leadership across manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and support functions to ensure safe, productive, and efficient operations
- Monitor equipment utilization, address production bottlenecks, and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and meet customer demand
- Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and providing real-time feedback to team members, promoting accountability and skill development
- Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing safety policies, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
What we require
- 5 + years of direct leadership experience in manufacturing operations or a comparable industrial environment, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance across multiple areas
- High School Diploma
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (whole number, common fractions, and decimals)
- Experience with various hand tools (manual and powered), micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparators and ability to read a tape measurer
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing
