Position Overview
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the successful delivery of automatic door installations across commercial, healthcare, education, retail, industrial, and government sectors. The role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to customer specifications while maintaining strong communication between customers, suppliers, technicians, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
What you will do
- Coordinate automatic door projects from order receipt through to practical completion, including scheduling, installation programmes, labour, subcontractors and site activities.
- Monitor project progress against key milestones, proactively manage delays, and attend project meetings and site inspections as required.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers and liaise with builders, architects, consultants and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Prepare and maintain work orders, schedules, progress reports, variations, handover documentation, defect records and project files.
- Ensure installations meet Australian Standards, Building Codes, WHS requirements and company procedures, while supporting risk management and quality assurance.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning, practical completion and customer handover, ensuring defects are resolved and warranty/post-installation requirements are managed.
What we require
- Previous experience in project coordination, construction administration, or project management.
- Strong organisational and scheduling capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.

- Experience within the automatic door, access control, security, glazing, aluminium, or construction industries.
