Position Overview

The Senior Commercial AI Solution Architect designs and delivers full-stack AI solutions that transform commercial processes across pre-sales, sales, and after-sales by combining intelligent workflows with custom web and mobile applications, enabling Dormakaba to reduce cycle time, enhance operational efficiency, and build sustainable competitive advantage. By owning solutions end-to-end—from process analysis and AI architecture through application development and deployment—the AI Solutions Architect eliminates handoffs, accelerates time-to-market, and establishes internal AI capabilities that scale strategically across the organization.

What you will do

• Process Analysis & AI Architecture Design  
• Conduct detailed audits of pre-sales, sales, and after-sales processes to identify automation opportunities and bottlenecks 
• Define AI workflow architecture, decision logic, and agent behavior for specific business processes 
• Gather detailed business requirements, success metrics, and constraints from commercial stakeholders 
• Full-Stack Solution Development  
• Build AI workflows and agents using low-code/no-code platforms or custom development as appropriate 
• Develop web and mobile applications that expose AI capabilities to users (sales reps, support teams, field staff) 
• Create intuitive user interfaces that simplify interaction with AI-powered processes 
• Implement backend APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations to enable end-to-end automation 
• Data Lake Optimization & Semantic Design  
• Map current data pipelines and identify gaps in data availability for AI consumption 
• Apply data science techniques (ontologies, data modeling, semantic understanding) to structure enterprise data 
• Design data consumption patterns that ground AI solutions in current, accurate business context 
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance for AI-powered system
• Solution Delivery & Optimization  
• Conduct comprehensive testing (functional, performance, UAT) to validate solutions meet requirements 
• Manage solution deployment, rollout, and team adoption across commercial functions 
• Monitor solution performance post-launch and identify improvement opportunities 
• Troubleshoot issues, refine workflows based on real-world usage, and continuously optimize AI behavior
• Governance & Standards Alignment  
• Ensure all solutions comply with AI Center of Excellence standards, protocols, and best practices 
• Architect solutions with appropriate risk management, security, and compliance controls 
• Document solutions and maintain alignment with enterprise architecture and AI strategy 
• Participate in governance reviews and contribute to organizational AI maturity 
• Leadership & Capability Building  
• Lead cross-functional projects involving commercial, IT, and data teams 
• Mentor and guide team members on AI integration, application development, and solution architecture 
• Share knowledge and establish best practices across AI solution initiatives 
• Contribute to building sustainable, scalable AI capabilities within the organization

What we require

• AI & Automation Engineering 
• Minimum 2-3 years hands-on experience designing and deploying AI workflows, agents, and LLM-based solutions in production environments 
• Demonstrated proficiency in prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and multi-step agentic workflows 
• Experience with data modeling, semantic design, and optimizing enterprise data lakes for AI consumption 
• Track record of integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems (Salesforce, ERP, knowledge management platforms) 
• Proven ability to identify, analyze, and transform high-effort manual processes into automated solutions with measurable impact 
• Full-Stack Software Development & Architecture 
• Minimum 4-5 years professional software development experience including web application development (React, Vue, Angular, or equivalent) 
• Hands-on experience with mobile application development (iOS, Android, Flutter, React Native, or equivalent) 
• Demonstrated expertise in system design, scalability patterns, and architectural decision-making for enterprise applications 
• Proven ability to design and implement robust APIs, databases, and system integrations 
• Experience shipping production applications with strong UI/UX design and quality assurance practices 
• Enterprise Solution Delivery & Strategic Leadership 
• Minimum 3-4 years leading end-to-end solution delivery, including complex cross-functional projects with technical and business stakeholders 
• Demonstrated experience driving organizational change, managing adoption initiatives, and building internal capabilities 
• Proven stakeholder management skills including communication with C-suite executives and business leadership 
• Experience establishing and enforcing governance standards, compliance requirements, and organizational best practices 
• Track record of mentoring, developing team members, and building high-performing technical teams 
• Master’s degree in engineering, Computer-/ Data-Science, IT or Business Administration with technical focus. AI/ML platform certifications, RPA, Six Sigma or other process optimization certification are a strong plus.
