Position Overview
dormakaba Global IT is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of strategic infrastructure initiatives across our global portfolio. You will take ownership of projects across our server, network, communication, and digital workplace environments, supporting dormakaba's continued evolution as a connected, secure, and modern enterprise. Your initial focus will be agreed based on portfolio priorities, with the Digital Workplace Modernization Program as a likely starting point, and your scope will evolve as the roadmap develops.
The Role
You will take full end-to-end accountability for delivery across multi-vendor, multi-geography teams, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and benefits realization. You will establish and run program governance with senior business and IT stakeholders, drive execution on a day-to-day basis, and bring clarity and structure to ambiguous or fast-moving initiatives. This is a hands-on delivery role rather than a coordination function. We are looking for an experienced professional who takes full ownership of outcomes and is comfortable operating with significant autonomy in a complex, matrixed organization.
Your Scope
You will lead infrastructure projects across a range of domains, including server and data center, network, communication and collaboration services, and the digital workplace. The Digital Workplace Modernization Program is one example of the kind of initiative you will run. It is a multi-track effort spanning end-user compute, Microsoft 365, identity and policy (AD/GPO), Microsoft Intune and other services. You are not expected to be a deep subject matter expert in any single domain. A solid working understanding of the infrastructure landscape is, however, essential: enough depth to constructively challenge delivery teams, anticipate integration and dependency risks, and establish credibility with executives, technical leads and service owners.
You Bring
- 7+ years of experience leading enterprise IT projects or programs through their full lifecycle
- A demonstrated track record in infrastructure delivery across domains such as server, network, communication, or digital workplace
- Proven experience operating within hybrid delivery models that combine Agile and Waterfall approaches
- Strong leadership of multi-vendor, cross-functional delivery teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including effective engagement with senior business and IT leadership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex topics clearly to technical and executive audiences alike
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification (mandatory); SAFe and ITIL Foundation qualifications are considered an advantage
- Fluent business English; working proficiency in German is an advantage
