Position Overview

The AI Champion owns AI-driven transformation for the ERP and Salesforce transformation program by identifying, prioritizing, and steering high-impact AI use cases from business idea to adoption and value realization. 

The role acts as the single function-side point of accountability for AI in RECITE, enabled by the standards, guardrails, and services of the dormakaba AI Center of Excellence. 

The AI Champion translates program priorities into an AI opportunity portfolio, assesses opportunities with evaluation criteria, defines value cases, and drives adoption across RECITE teams and connected business functions. 

The role leads the embedded AI delivery pod, aligns business owners, IT, data, governance, and system-integrator teams, and ensures that AI solutions are delivered securely, scalable, and with measurable business value. 

What you will do

• AI Opportunity Identification & Prioritization 
• Identify high-value AI use cases aligned with RECITE and segment strategy. 
• Triage the opportunity queue, clarify requirements, merge overlapping ideas, and maintain a prioritized AI portfolio. 
• Translate business pain points across ERP, Salesforce, data, and integration into actionable AI opportunities. 
• Opportunity Evaluation & Value Case 
• Evaluate opportunities against impact, feasibility, strategic fit, risk, reuse / build / buy, and governance readiness. 
• Define business cases including ROI, cost reduction, revenue uplift, productivity improvement, adoption targets, and measurable KPIs. 
• Secure stakeholder alignment and executive sponsorship for prioritized use cases. 
• Product Ownership & Backlog Steering 
• Own the AI product backlog and steer build increments with AI SEAL engineers, AI CoE, and system-integrator teams. 
• Set delivery cadence, manage prioritization, and protect committed build milestones. 
• Convert evaluated opportunities into clear product increments, acceptance criteria, and value tracking. 
• Operating Model & Process Redesign 
• Redesign end-to-end workflows to leverage AI capabilities beyond simple automation. 
• Embed AI solutions into daily program and business processes, including ERP, Salesforce, data quality, and reporting activities. 
• Ensure operating model changes are understood, owned, and sustainable after go-live. 
• Adoption & Change Management 
• Drive adoption across RECITE teams and connected functions through enablement, communication, and targeted upskilling. 
• Monitor usage, feedback, and business impact; trigger improvements when adoption or outcomes fall short. 
• Act as visible advocate for responsible, value-driven AI within the transformation program. 
• Governance, Risk & Compliance 
• Ensure AI use cases follow AI CoE guardrails, security requirements, data privacy standards, and applicable regulatory expectations. 
• Route required approvals through AI architecture, security, operational readiness, publish, and change-control gates. 
• Track risks, dependencies, and realized value against the approved business case. 

What we require

• Minimum 10 years in enterprise IT, digital transformation, business transformation, or strategic technology roles 
• Experience in at least two ERP-class transformations such as SAP, Oracle Fusion, or large-scale Salesforce 
• At least one production AI delivery used by real business users, not only a proof of concept 
• Experience owning major SI / vendor relationships and steering delivery decisions at scale 
• Experience preparing decisions and navigating steering committees at C-level / business-owner level 
• Strong product ownership and transformation leadership in ERP / Salesforce environments 
• Ability to identify business value and translate opportunities into AI-enabled product increments 
• Understanding of AI solution patterns, enterprise architecture, data, integration, security, and governance 
• Strong stakeholder management across business, IT, data, AI CoE, and SI partners 
• Commercial mindset with ability to define ROI, productivity improvements, adoption targets, and value tracking 
• Senior-level transformation/product leadership experience 
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority 
• Strong capability to align executives, business owners, architects, and delivery teams 
• Experience managing external partners and vendors 
• Ability to provide clear direction under delivery pressure and ambiguity 
• Strategic thinker, value and outcome oriented, strong communicator, team oriented, structured, resilient under pressure, proactive, pragmatic, culturally aware, open-minded, flexible, and able to balance innovation with governance. 
• English - Business fluency 

What we prefer

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, integration platforms, and data/analytics initiatives 
• Knowledge of AI governance, EU AI Act, data privacy, security, and responsible AI practices 
• Experience with Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Microsoft AI services, or comparable enterprise AI platforms 
• German - Colloquial knowledge (not mandatory)
