Position Overview

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual to lead the training, assessment, and skill development of our Service Technicians. Working alongside the National Training & Field Assessment Manager and the broader Technical Training and Service Team, you will develop and implement effective local processes, impart your technical expertise, and support in the generation of training material.

What you will do

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver technical training for Technicians, Agents and Managers.
  • Develop, plan, provide and coordinate training for Industrial Technicians, Agents, and Field Managers.
  • Act as a technical subject matter liaison across teams and stakeholders.
  • Improve, update, and share latest technology and best practices (including writing SOPs) for site area management, job safety & identified areas for improvement.
  • Be a conduit to receive and provide technical advice to installers and technicians on process, methodology, theory and practice.
  • Provide Technical and Field support for our Service Technicians, Field Manager and Agents in the region.
  • Conduct competency assessments and on-site work audits.
  • Maintain and manage technical documents to ensure accessibility and accuracy

There will be a need to travel to various locations quarterly and as required, to conduct training and provide support whilst supporting the local business unit's training administration and processes.

What we require

Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar position, facilitating training and conducting assessments within a field role.

  • Experience working in a service environment. 
  • Demonstrated technical experience within a service department or similar technical training environment
  • Confident in public speaking.
  • Proven background in mechanical or electrical systems.
  • The ability to facilitate, mentor, coach and build relationships to create lasting relationships and to promote behavioural change.
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and updating existing training packages is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint.

  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment
  • An understanding of technical product training
  • Experience working within a multi-site or national service environment would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable with regular travel to different locations to deliver training, assessments and technical support.
